One of the most important days in the calendar has arrived (no, Christmas hasn’t come early!). Of course, we are talking about World Health Day.

Sponsored by the World Health Organization (WHO), World Health Day is dedicated to spreading the message of the importance of health and healthcare for all, with the WHO stating on their World Health Day page “this campaign aims to help people better understand what universal health coverage means”. A shocking statistic provided by the WHO details that “about 100 million people are pushed into extreme poverty each year because of out-of-pocket spending on health”.
There are many factors that can influence a person’s overall health and wellbeing. The three main pillars of this are a balanced diet, an active and healthy lifestyle, and most importantly (no bias!) getting a good night’s sleep.
Sleep is fundamental to ensuring you restore your energy levels and nourish your body and mind. Ensuring you sleep for the optimum amount of time every night has numerous health benefits, such as:
Improving your memory
Maintaining a healthy heart
